SSC CGL Tier 2 Syllabus 2025

After the preliminary exam has been conducted, it will be necessary to gear up for the SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam. The Mains Exam will be conducted online and is an objective multiple-choice exam, except for Module II (Data Entry Speed Test) of Section III of Paper 1. SSC CGL Exam Pattern

A brief recap of the exam pattern for CGL Tier 2 – Paper 1 will be conducted in two sessions – Session I & Session II, on the same day and is compulsory for all candidates who qualify in Paper 1. Session-I will include conducting Section-I, Section-II, and Section-III. The candidates must qualify in all the sections of Paper 1. 

Understanding SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Papers

SSC CGL Tier II is divided into 3 papers, named Paper-1, Paper-2, and Paper-3. The first paper is common for all aspirants and is divided into two sessions. The first Session-I consists of two Sections with each Section having again two Modules. The exam papers in Section-I have two Modules: Mathematical Abilities for Module-I exam paper & Reasoning and General Intelligence subjects for Module-II exam. Further, Section-II also has two Modules – Module-I exam paper deals with the English Language and Comprehension subject, and Module-II exam is conducted for General Awareness subject. Aspirants are given one hour to complete each section.

Session-I of Section-I is divided into two modules, the first section is Module-I which deals with the Mathematical Abilities syllabus.
